Do you know what “netiquette” is? It refers to Internet etiquette (net+etiquette). It
means respecting other users and displaying courtesy when you are online. There are some
important rules you should follow when you are online.
First of all, you should remember that you are interacting with real people when you

are online. You shouldn’t offend anyone. Some people are emboldened by the fact that they are
not speaking face-to-face and they may say things that hurt the other person. In my opinion
this is bad netiquette.
Furthermore, you should keep messages short, polite and to the point. I believe that
we shouldn’t spam others with multiple messages or waste their time. Also, we should ask
permission before posting about someone or sharing an e-mail, photo or chat conversation
and make sure that it doesn’t contain any personal information.
To sum up, online communication is an indispensable part of our lives. For me, it’s crucial
to use netiquette because online communication is non-verbal. We should follow netiquette!
