Conjunctions
And (ve): Aynı görevdeki kelimeleri veya cümleleri bağlamak için kullanılır.
➦ I wake up at 7 o’clock every morning and I go to school.
➦ Yesterday, Jake bought some fruit and vegetables at the greengrocer’s.
But (ama): Zıtlık ifade eder, yani ilk ifadeye göre beklenmeyen bir şeyi söylerken kullanılır.

➦ I want to go to the amusement park, but I have an exam.
➦ I am very hungry, but there isn’t any food at home.
Because (çünkü): Sebep-sonuç bildiren cümleleri bağlar.
➦ I should go to the library because I have an important exam tomorrow.
➦ I should go to the bookshop because I need a dictionary.
So (bu yüzden): Sonuç belirtmek için kullanılır.

➦ It’s raining, so we can’t have a picnic at the park.
“To” yapısı da sebep bildirmek için kullanılır. “To”dan sonra fiilin yalın hâli gelir.

➦ You may go to the police station to report the burglary.
