They decide to add salt to the mixture. “Now, I am shaking the cup,

but I don’t break it.” says Amy. She gently shakes the cup, and they see

the salt melt in the water. Levent says, “Look at it under the microscope.”

Amy places the slide in front of the microscope and looks through it.

“Wow, it looks so cool!” says Amy.

Next, they find a small orange fruit on the table. “Let’s peel it and

use the juice for the experiment.” says Levent. Amy agrees. She warns,

“Don’t squeeze it too hard, or the juice spills!” Levent peels the fruit

and squeezes the juice in a tube. “Where is the dropper?” asks Levent.

Amy looks around and says, “It’s near the bottles.” She picks it up and

adds a few drops to the mixture.
