In India, women generally wear the “sari” which is a traditional Indian
item of clothing. It’s a large piece of cloth that can be wrapped around
the body in various styles. The most common style is that they wrap
the “sari” around their waists, with one end draped over their shoulders.
Men usually wear a knee-length (or longer) shirt over loose trousers.
Traditional African costumes varies widely in the continent, although
there are some similarities. Men usually wear tunics or kaftans (long
shirts) and women wear garments wrapped
around their bodies. Bright colored fabrics
and beaded jewellery are popular. In Japan,
women wear their traditional costume the “kimono”. It’s a full length
robe. Women generally wear white make-up on their faces with
bright red lips.
