A giant panda is a mammal, but it's different from other species
of bears. It is black and white. It has black patches around its
eyes, over its ears and across its round body. It is very lovely
with its large and round head. Its coat is very thick and it helps
them to keep its body at a normal temperature. Giant pandas
are herbivores and they eat plants. Bamboo leaves are their
favourite food. Giant pandas move very slowly because they are
quite heavy. They are in danger because their eating habit puts
them under a great risk of extinction. Today they live only in six
small areas in China.
