They see some
children playing a game.
Mia looks at a boy with
a blue hat and asks, “Is he
from Japan?” Tom looks and
says, “I don’t think so. I think
he is from China.” They go to
the boy and ask, “Are you from
Japan?” The boy shakes his head.
“No, I’m from China. What about
her?” He points at a girl wearing a
kimono. “Maybe.” says Mia. “She looks
Japanese.”
Tom and Mia walk more and see a
girl in a beautiful red dress. She is dancing. “Look at
the girl with the red dress. Is she Spanish?” asks Mia. Tom
thinks and says, “I think so. Let’s ask her!” They walk to the
girl and Mia asks, “Are you from Spain?” The girl smiles and
says, “Yes, I’m from Spain. I’m Spanish. Are you enjoying the
festival?” Tom says, “Yes, it’s great!”
