Hello all! My name is Larissa. I'm from Mexico. In my country, Cinco de Mayo is the most
important and popular festival, and I loved it. It is an
annual celebration held on May 5. At this festival, local
people wear green, red and white clothes because they
are the colours of our flag. People decorate all the
streets with flowers and balloons. Cinco de Mayo isn't a
national holiday in Mexico, but luckily for children, schools
are closed for the day. We listen to music, play maracas
and perform our folk dances during the festival. We also
eat out traditional dishes like tacos, burritos, guacamole and mole poblano, and watch
fireworks displays. I think everybody should join our celebrations for Cinco de Mayo to
have a great time.
